About Resound
What? Resound is about matching lenders/donors of instruments to borrowers who need instruments.
Who? If you have an instrument sitting around at home and would like to see someone use it who needs it, you may find a suitable "borrower" here. If you need an instrument to learn on but can't afford it, you may find a suitable "lender" here.
Why? Music assists with learning, provides relaxation, and brings joy to people who play. Not all musicians can afford instruments, especially when combined with tuition and print music costs. Non-musicians may inherit or be given instruments they don't particularly want to use. Others may have taken up an instrument only to find it was unsuitable for them, but still have some attachment to the instrument. Here is a way to see these unused instruments brought out of the cupboard, dusted off, and used for what they were made for, plus it can help a keen student musician along the way to achieve their goals.
About: Resound provides listings of both borrowers and lenders, as well as an example agreement for download. Resound only accepts listings for instruments worth $20000 or less. If you would like to lend a more expensive instrument to a worthy highly-skilled musician, please visit our National Instrument Bank .
