Overview

Music Forum is Australia's most interesting music magazine. Over time, you'll see articles on musicians and composers, orchestras, music funding, jazz, chamber music, music technology, music theatre and opera, music and the internet, community music development, governments and music, music education, psychology of music, music copyright, indigenous and multicultural music, international developments, folk music, research, industry data, music broadcasting, choral music, musicology, contemporary music, reviews of CDs and books...

In short, on just about anything connected with music.

Music Forum is both entertaining and meaty. One of its objectives is to inform its readers of the situation of music in Australia and internationally, so that they are more knowledgeable and better able to act to advance our musical life.

It includes topical news items and commentaries, debate through the letters column, and in-depth articles of lasting interest. Some CD reviews draw attention to excellent CDs that you would not hear about through normal commercial channels. The book reviews mostly feature Australian books.

In Music Forum, MCA publishes its policy submissions and invites comment from readers. Over time, readers gain a broad knowledge of issues important to music of all types.

Music Forum is published quarterly in February, May, August and November and is distributed by mail to subscribers, and to important decision-makers in governments, the bureaucracy, and industry.
