He has won an ARIA Award for the Mara Ensemble's 2001 release Live in Europe, and in the same year was nominated for the Best Jazz Album ARIA for the Andrew Robson Trio CD Sunman. The Freedman Fellowship helped Andrew develop a profile in Europe and enabled him to undertake projects not otherwise possible. He took his trio, the Andrew Robson Trio to perform at the Berlin Jazz Festival in November 2004 to considerable critical acclaim. This was followed by numerous approaches from European promoters and venue managers, leading to plans for another European tour for the trio.A new CD of Andrew's original music with his trio will be released shortly, funded in part with Fellowship funds.
