AECID: new books in the 'Culture and Development' series
The Spanish Agency of International Cooperation for Development (AECID) has released two new volumes in its 'Culture and Development' series. On the one hand, La Cooperación Cultura-Comunicación en Iberoamérica collects the proceedings of a seminar held in Madrid in 2007, addressing the relationship between culture and media in Iberoamerica. An initiative of Fundación Alternativas and the Organisation of Iberoamerican States (OEI), the book has been edited by Enrique Bustamante. On the other hand, Héctor Ariel Olmos has authored Gestión cultural e identidad: claves para el desarrollo, which combines theoretical and practical approaches to cultural management as a resource for human development, with particular emphasis on the notion of cultural identity.
