How can you support the campaign?

For Collaborators

There are a lot of ways you can use the campaign to help achieve your objectives, while at the same time assisting the campaign. Click here to see a list of things you can do, accompanied by a list of ways we can back you up.

Register as a campaign supporter …

By registering you can be kept up to date on campaign developments through the bimonthly e-newsletter. The newsletter will feature interesting music projects from around the country, the latest efforts in advocacy and government relations, what’s happening on the education front, and much more.

Tell your friends …

The campaign needs your help to get the message out. Tell your teachers, friends, community organisations, councils and anyone else where there is an opportunity to increase music making. Direct them to this website.

Place a link on your website to ours …

If you are in the music business, a school, conservatorium, arts or music organisation, why not place a link on your website to www.mca.org.au/music.playforlife.htm so that your friends can access a broad range of information and music making initiatives.

Use Music. Play for Life resources …

The logos and slogan “Play for Life” can be adopted by you for your own school or community music promotion. You can also adopt the bookmark and print your logo to distribute to students, friends as a promotional resource.

Are you a teacher or parent? …

An advocacy kit is under development to help teachers, parents and principals to lobby for music programs in their school. This useful tool will help you plan your campaign and provide effective strategies to gain support for music from your school community. The kit will be available on this website in January.

Let us know what’s going on in your world …

Drop us a line about any new and innovative projects. Tell us how music making has benefited your community – stories about teachers and community leaders who have inspired music making. Music making helps build and strengthen communities, and is used in many different ways to benefit people – young or old, people coming back to music, as therapy, in a professional capacity and just for fun.

Add to our website resources

Do you have a connection with an interesting project or program that others might find inspiring or instructive? If you send us a description, it can be placed on this website. The website will be the main informational resource for the campaign. We expect people will turn to it to look for answers to their questions and projects to adapt or emulate. You could make a very important contribution.

If you are a recording artist, agent, manager or music retailer …

Support the campaign by adopting the “Music. Play for Life” logo in your own promotion. By adopting the logo, you will be promoting music making thus broadening the music market and creating new opportunities for music forms and artists.

Your visuals could become famous

We want to showcase Australian programs on the website with photographs and other visuals that can be used to promote the campaign. If you have high resolution images of your activities, we can post them on the website for public use. Of course, we would give you published acknowledgement as the source.

$$$$$$$$$$ …

Music. Play for Life is a not-for-profit initiative with limited resources. By making a donation you are helping sustain the campaign and broaden its reach. Funds are tax deductible and will be put into resourcing campaign activities and materials.
