The particular relevance to music is that the AFC is actively involved in matters such as Australian content regulations on the media, and the effects on Australian cultural production of international trade agreements. ASME is Australia's only affiliate organisation of the International Society for Music Education (ISME), which exists under the auspices of UNESOC's Music Council. The membership is comprised mainly of school music teachers and music education academics.

Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade
DFAT is the home of the new Australian International Cultural Council, which will advise on ways of exporting Australian arts. Diplomatic posts have their own modest budgets for arts presentations. DFAT directly funds some international touring by Australian musicians.
Fellowship of Australian Composers
The Fellowship of Australian Composers is the representative voice of serious composers throughout Australia. Its membership is open to all those who have proved themselves to be competent and serious composers by having their works broadcast or recorded, or approved by a representative panel of composers.

This is a website with lists of providers of many kinds of music and
