Chris Bowen is CEO of the Music Council of Australia. Brisbane based Chris has been Director Dance and Music at Arts Queensland, General Manager of two arts centres - The Judith Wright Centre of Contemporary Arts and Brisbane Powerhouse, and Director of Brisbane Multicultural Arts Centre where he gained a lifelong passion for world music.
Richard Letts founded the MCA in 1994 and continues as a program director. He is immediate Past President of the International Music Council, was Director of the Music Board of the Australia Council and the Australian Music Centre and institutions in the USA. He holds a PhD and has been awarded an AM.
Maeve Marsden is the Director of Music: Play for Life. She works in Marketing/Communications for organisations she believes in, lending her skills, over the years, to arts education, disability awareness, and LGBT rights. Maeve also produces live music events with her company, blackcat productions, and performs in cabaret act, Lady Sings it Better.
Alex Masso manages the Music in Communities Network. He is a Sydney-based drummer, educator, advocate and managed the events program at Wollongong Conservatorium of Music before joining MCA in 2012. Alex plays with The Vampires, Slide Albatross, Kinetic Jazz Orchestra, The Splinter Orchestra, and others.
